Eddie's Wake by Carol PetersonC. A. PETERSON | Eddie’s Wake
blog: Writing Eddie’s Wake

This is the blog of author, Carol Peterson who has written the upcoming book, “Eddie’s Wake.” I love doing all the covers I work on. This one strikes me like a movie poster. I can see it now: 20TH CENTURY FOX PRESENTS… A STEVEN SPIELBERG PRODUCTION… EDDIE’S WAKE. The story reads like a movie for sure.

BOOK SYNOPSIS: October, 1927. At the end of the fishing season, Karl Stern’s father, Eddie, falls into the icy waters of Lake Superior and dies. Told he is now to be the “man of the house,” a grieving Karl feels he must protect his mother and sisters from an uncle who has a score to settle. Deserted by his friends, missing his father and devastated when his mother sells Eddie’s share of the fishing boat to support the family, Karl falls into a spiral of despair that threatens his faith and shakes the foundations of his world. Who can he trust to help put his life back together?

He Loves Me by Wayne JacobsenWAYNE JACOBSEN | He Loves Me
website: Lifestream Ministries

This is the website of author and speaker, Wayne Jacobsen of Lifestream Ministries. I designed the cover as well as the interior of the book. Also, I took the photo of the little girl’s hands holding the daisy. The image of the man holding up the child is of the author and his grand daughter. Talk about making a cover personal! Wayne is a prolific writer whose work has impacted me much.

BOOK SYNOPSIS: He loves me! He loves me not! Do you find yourself picking through circumstances like children plucking daisy petals attempting to figure out whether or not God loves you? If you find yourself least certain of his love in those critical moments when you most need to trust him, there is hope for you.

Where? At the one event in human history that forever secured your place in the Father’s heart-the cross where Jesus allowed sin and shame to be consumed in his own body so that you could freely embrace a relationship with his Father. There you will discover that what he always wanted was not the fearful subservience of slaves, but the loving affection of sons and daughters.

The Choice That Haunts Forever - Maurice HuffMAURICE HUFF | The Choice That Haunts Forever
website: Holy Spirit Place

The Choice That Haunts Forever is another story that plays out like a movie to me. Who or what was on the other side of the eerily lit doorway? The challenge is creating the right imagery that will bring the idea to life. The title begged for something haunting and mysterious. Maurice and I were very pleased with the results.

BOOK SYNOPSIS: The story details the life of an aborted child who resides in heaven and is granted a wish to come back to earth to confront his father. His visit will be very brief, sad and of course, emotional. This book also examines the pain, fear and anger his father must deal with now that he has to look at the idea of abortion through totally new lenses; all stirred from his encounter with the unexpected guest.

Journey of Grace - bookJEFF EVANS | Journey of Grace
website: Journey of Grace – The Novel

This was one of those covers that just seemed to fall together effortlessly. A wonderful story based on the author’s actual encounter with miraculous healing from cancer. The book is available through the author’s website (see link above).

BOOK SYNOPSIS: “Ted Miller is dying of cancer. Molly Andrews believes God can heal him. The plight of a doomed man, and the woman who is determined to see him healed, unearths every emotion known to mankind. Molly wrestles with the conflicts created by loving a dying man, while Ted’s ego plagues him with thoughts of doubt and confusion as he resists the idea of divine healing. The spiritual battle between them reveals how unconditional love and miracles can supernaturally bind two souls together.

Miracles prove that physical laws can be reversed for people caught in terminal or disastrous situations. Journey of Grace is based on a true experience. When one is staring death in the face, the only thing left is to hope for a miracle!”
